At this point, the annual Mobile World Congress (MWC) trade show could be renamed Android-palooza, and few would complain. Though the product announcements made at MWC, which takes place this week in Barcelona, are by no means limited to Android hardware, it’s clearly now the biggest event of the year for showcasing new devices running on Alphabet/Google’s (GOOGL) mobile operating system, as well as related chipsets, apps, services and accessories.
Here are some of the most notable announcements made at MWC thus far (I previously covered some mobile processor/modem announcements from Samsung, Intel (INTC) and Qualcomm (QCOM) that were made ahead of the show).
Five months after being made available on the company’s Pixel phones, Google is making Assistant available to all devices running Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) or higher in the coming weeks. For now, that means about 30% of Android devices in us e will have access to Google’s voice assistant, which is an outgrowth of the older Google Now service.

Upscale retailer Nordstrom (NYSE:JWN) faces the same negative trends as Macy’s in its full-line business. However, while Nordstrom’s management has shown a willingness to close a store here or there, investors shouldn’t expect any kind of massive store closure program at Nordstrom.

The stock traded 5.74 percent higher after the company reported strong Q4 earnings, but Sebastian thinks the rally isn't sustainable and he wants to make a bearish trade in the name.
