Best Asia Stocks To Own: CIBC Maintains ‘Sector Performer’ Rating On Astral Media
Tweet CIBC World Markets Inc. maintained its “Sector Performer” rating on Astral Media Inc. (TSX: ACM-A.TO) and a price target of $42.00. Canada-based Astral Media boosted its annual dividend by 33 percent to $1.00 per share. The company also announced a renewal of its normal course issuer bid for up to 5 percent of outstanding shares. “The dividend boost is significant at 33 percent, but comes as no surprise, as the company catches up with peer Corus,” CIBC analyst Robert Bek wrote in a note. “Astral maintains a solid balance sheet, and had plenty of capacity for the dividend bump.” “Overall, today’s announcements were a slight positive for Astral, although a meaningful dividend increase was largely expected.
